As a certified German Shepherd breeder, we offer Working Line German Shepherds, the original version of the breed that began in Germany in 1899. From the day they are born, to the day they head off to their forever home, they are treated with the utmost care and attention. Vaccinations, worming, and total health care is provided to each puppy before it leaves.

Lost River Ranch is located 15 minutes south of Montgomery, AL. The ranch totals 250 acres of rolling hills and is known as a working ranch for cattle ranch, where we also train quarter horses and raise import bloodline German Shepherds.
We take pride in anything we raise at Lost River Ranch, especially the import bloodline of our Ingram German Shepherds. Although we only offer a few litters a year to the public, we also train protection and working competition dogs for those who want to compete and title.
Our dogs are our family here at the ranch. Whether bringing in horses or gathering cattle, our best helper is Ava Von Der Beist. She is one of a kind Czech GSD and our right hand at Lost River Ranch. Her daughter Eischa Eqidius can also be found learning the trade alongside her mother.
Lisa K Ingram is the owner of Lost River Ranch and Ingram German Shepherds. Her notable background includes working as the Marketing Director for the Seminole Tribe of FL. She has also worked as a Graphic Designer, a licensed Realtor, staging homes to sell, and is a Master Photographer with 5 National PPI Awards of Excellence.
Lisa’s artwork was chosen by Spectrum New York as one of the Top Breakout Artists. She has also been featured in Cowboys and Indians Magazine in an editorial on her life as an cowgirl artist.
Since purchasing Lost River Ranch in 2014, Lisa has been raising German Shepherd Dogs and training quarter horses. Her skill as a horse trainer, allows her to compete in cutting horse and barrel horse events. She is a member of the Catholic Church and works to help those in need.
Lisa has always loved animals. She is happiest when working, training, learning, and spending quality time at the ranch. Lisa loves to connect with those who cherish this great breed of dog and share her experiences along the way. When she is not working or volunteering you will find her spending time with her kids, Justina and Cade.
